Addiction Counselling

Are you sick and tired of waking up sick and tired?  Are you waking up each day feeling drained, worn out, and wondering how things got to this point?  Maybe the alcohol, drugs, or habits that once helped you cope now feel like they’re running your life instead.  You might swing between worry, guilt, and hopelessness — all while asking yourself, “How did I get here?”.

Let's look at it this way… Is 1 too many and 10 not enough?

Addiction can creep in quietly. At first, it offers comfort, a sense of escape, or even fun. But over time, what once gave relief can become destructive — leaving you feeling stuck, isolated, or ashamed. Whether it’s alcohol, drugs, smoking, gambling, pornography, technology, or shopping, the impact reaches far beyond the habit itself. It can affect your health, your relationships, and the way you see yourself. Before you know it, the thing that once helped you cope is now the very thing keeping you stuck.

The hardest part is that addiction often creates a false reality — one where it feels impossible to imagine life without it. You might find yourself planning your days around it, craving it constantly, or feeling like you’ve painted yourself into a corner with no way out.  Maybe you’ve thought, “I couldn’t possibly live without it. That’s impossible.” Or maybe you’ve caught yourself saying, “I’ll deal with it tomorrow,” while the cycle continues. That’s how addiction works — it convinces you that you can’t change, while quietly taking more and more from you.

But the truth is, you already have strengths and resources inside you that can help you take back control. you can change. I know, because I’ve been there myself.

Counselling for addictions is about more than just “quitting” — it’s about understanding what drives the habit, finding healthier ways to cope, and discovering your own strengths along the way and reclaim your life.  It’s also about working together to uncover what keeps you stuck, finding new ways to cope, and creating a future you actually want to wake up to.

If you’re ready to stop feeling sick and tired, and start feeling alive again, I’m here to help you get there.  I’d love to walk alongside you as you take those first steps toward change.
